Spotify is among the most interesting platforms to listen to your favourite songs. If you have organized the songs you listen to the most in playlists and want to customize these lists more easily from your device, you will be interested in knowing how to change the photo of a Spotify playlist from your mobile.

If you have created a list of songs or several in Spotify, you will have noticed that by default, the application puts an image on the cover in which it mixes the covers of the first four songs on that list. It can be worth it, but it can be something other than your playlist. We tell you how to change that image from your mobile without much effort.

Suppose you are already clear on how to change the photo of a Spotify playlist from your mobile but want to change and give your personal touch to other characteristics of a song list. In that case, we will explain how to customize a Spotify playlist.

Each playlist has different functions that can help you identify them much better if, for example, you have several playlists. To find out these ways of customizing, open the application, click “Your library,” and choose the playlist to customize. Then click on the three dots, and a new screen will open with several options we will tell you below.

The first one that appears is Add Songs. If you want to expand the playlist, you can search for that song you love and want to include. Spotify also shows you a list of suggestions. If you slide from right to left on the screen, it will show you those suggestions based on those you have recently heard, for example.

If you click on “edit” within the playlist, you can change the cover image, as we have explained before, but you can also modify the playlist’s title just by clicking on the text. You can also “add a description”, which will help you put the information you want about that list of songs, for example, the year of the songs or the musical style.

You can also “make secret” the playlist so that none of your contacts or Spotify users see it, and if you “make it collaborative,” any of your friends can add songs to it.

If you have decided that this list of songs no longer interests you, you can delete it. The last option that appears is “share”. Pressing, you will see that a screen opens for you to choose the social network or the messaging application where you want to show or send your playlist.

Why can’t I change my Spotify photo?

How to change Spotify Picture

It can only be done on a laptop or computer, but once you’re on the playlist, if you hover your mouse on the image, it will come up with a pencil; if you click it, you can edit the image of the playlist.

Let’s do it step by step.

1. Go to your playlist that you want to change the picture.

2. Now, Hover your mouse over the red square, and you will see the pencil icon.

3. It will open a box stating you to change the playlist name, choose an image and a description box.

Once done, hit on “Save” tada!

As for today (January 2020), you can’t change your playlist’s picture from the web browser. You have to install the desktop app.

Launch the Spotify app on your desktop.
After that, right-click on the desired playlist under the Playlists.
Now click on “Edit Details. “
Finally, save after changing.

From the desktop app, you can add a small (2–3 lines) description of such a playlist, including links to where you want.
